What made me love Pilates and fitness?

Hi, my name is Cindy and here is my story. Movement became my passion years ago when I was diagnosed with moderate osteoarthritis in my cervical spine in my late 20s. My doctor “prescribed” me Pilates. Once I started, I fell in love with that movement and weight training. I loved the way it made me feel from strength to confidence. I wanted to share that confidence and become a Pilates and fitness coach then, but life had other plans. As always, God’s timing is perfect and I had many life lessons to learn. All of which have added to my knowledge and experience in the fitness industry and in our own bodies.

Snapshot of some of my Life-Lessons: From being a single mom to two very active girls and eventually getting them and myself into martial arts to going through menopause at an early age, becoming sedentary for a couple years and getting back active again, I’ve learned how to combat hormones (mine and theirs), neck pain, sciatica, severe low back pain & hip pain, anxiety, the dreaded “menopause belly”, and now osteoporosis. My extensive knowledge of stressors of life and painful ailments allows me to meet you where you are and have more empathy for the challenges our body throws at us.

Now, happily married to a wonderful man that supports me in everything I do, I’m a Ni-Dan (2nd degree black belt) martial arts instructor and 50+ neuromotor instructor for seniors at The Lebanon Dojo, a certified Pilates Mat and Reformer Instructor, and most recently certified Clinical Rehab Specialist for exercise rehabilitation at Breathe Education. I have many success stories, including my own.

And now, I am here for YOU! My passion and gift from God is to help you get back to where you want to be. Many of my clients have chronic pains and/or injury that have not been overcome with other physical fitness programs and even some physical therapy. The approach I take for you is much more personal and we are going to use a whole body approach. Low back and hip pain, neck pain, shoulder or knee pain are all symptoms of a whole body solution. I’m here to find what works for you and get you on the road to moving without worrying if it is going to hurt. This is what we call Fearless Movement!

–Moving confidently, painlessly, fearlessly.
